The Sutherland Brothers were a Scottish folk and soft rock duo.
From 1973 to 1978 they performed with rock band Quiver, and recorded and toured as Sutherland Brothers & Quiver.
The original version of Dark Powers appears on their 1976 LP Slipstream. If you're into the smooth mid-70s west-coast/LA sound, I highly recommend giving the full album a spin. Plenty of Very Good+/ Near Mint copies of the original vinyl for less than $10 on Discogs.

Red and Sula are my favourites and will defo go in The Illicit Grooves Radio Show. The other two tracks are really strong too, I love how California/Laurel Canyon Transmission kind of sounds. For me though, Red is the strongest track. Bob Hill Illicit Grooves
